The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is an annual tradition in New York City.Millions of New Yorkers and tourists come to see the tree and ice skate on the rink at the Rockefeller Center.
This Christmas tradition began in 1932.
The tree remains lighted until the week after New Year's Day. Then it is removed and recycled for a variety of uses.
This year the tree was lighted on December 3rd at 8.55PM.
